What's everyone up to this weekend then?

Southport for moi. Not going down now until tomorrow, taking Soph and she is still in recovery from a big operation, so thought 1 night was enough. Plus I'm skint so probably for the best.

Quite excited now - the thought of the Pontins manky chalets had kept the enthusiasm at bay in the build-up!

Went to Dublin with the ladies on a bender last weekend, drank a ridiculous amount of every type of alcohol going, took me two full days to recover afterwards. Had a really good time but wouldn't rush back to be honest. Its silly prices for booze and the only thing to do while you are there is get ar5ehold.

Can't beat a Irish Breakfast & pint of Gunniess on a hangover though ;D

Nothing planned for me..planning a quiet one as we go on holiday in three weeks and there are a couple of nights in Leeds I intend on going to before that! Besides, Arran has a slipped disc so we are pretty much limited to doing much..

Nothing exciting really last weekend, went out Friday to The Wellington in town, saw some good dj's playing there..got drunk and went home!!

Think it is weekend of ironing, hols packing and making the most of the new memory foam mattress!!(an absolute brilliant buy)

- chalet excitement
- Brand New Heavies, Dixon, Moodyman, Quentin Harris, Kenny Dope, Gilles Peterson, Ben Westbeech

Saturday
- Angie Stone during the afternoon
- Roy Ayers, Bah Samba, Frankie Feliciano, Louie Vega, Marc Mac (4Hero), Jazzanova, Ron Trent, DJ Spen, Danny Krivit

Sunday
- Incognito (can only assume its not the same one that was on @ a Wire afterparty recently ;-))
- drive back to Leeds
- hide behind the sofa

Monday
- regret not working for a company with a decent holiday entitlement

So whats everyones plans for this week/end?

Going to the char-it-tee thing Jay the bouncer is putting on at Basics on Thurs, sacking work on Fri and hopefully get to show my face at Basics on Sat for the return of Weatherall, Wooly and Ralphster..

And hopefully we shall have cracking weather as well..

In the pub first on the (fri) afternoon for a few pints with Jamie, Midget, Katy & DP, back to the chalet, then out for about 10pm. Stayed out till the end: 8am. Then back to Darlo Pauls chaletparty to watch them on ket - absolutely hilarious, IMO ket is a drug best experienced as a voyeur! - back at ours i had an hour or so sleep then got up about lunchtime, too noisy to sleep, Stacker & Sophie enroute, so went over to the venue with Jamie, grabbed a beer & stood listening to Scott Bradford (2.45pm-4.30pm) who was playing absolutely perfect music for that point of the weekend. Basic house, virtually no vocals, just decent house beats. The BBar, probably about the size of the ground floor of peephouse was jumping! Headed back to the chalet after that and Stacker arrived and after trying to get some sleep & failing got back on it. Went out about 11, got a headache within half hour of being in the venue tho, so bailed back to the now empty chalet for sleep. After 10 mins of listening to the bass (party over the way) i got up and had a spl1ff, then bed. Slept for 2 hrs and was woken by S about 2.30. Got up, nailed one & hit the Powerhouse danceflooor, Louie Vega had just started (hence the wakeup call), from then on i had an ace Saturday.

If i'd arrived at the place & the first thing i saw was me on Saturday afternoon i'd have probably run a mile!
