Heres a little biog about Hal below he is already making his mark in 2006 with being featured in IDj Magazine,Mixmag and Dj Magazine with his house/tech house and breaks tracks and is really turning peoples heads.
The DJ: There really should be a rule that says that all DJs must love dancing themselves. For DJ Hal it is his joy to make people have a great time, watch them dance deliriously through the night, indulge them in his deep love of music, inspire and elate, and generally get down and boogie with his new found friends. From the top class Tyrant @ The Bomb to the legendary Back 2 Basics, both with their highly knowledgeable and appreciative crowds, DJ Hal can be found expanding people's tastes on a regular basis. Then there is the ever expanding international travel; including the Exit Festival (Serbia), Spain, Dance Valley (Holland), Poland, and the USA. On his travels, DJ Hal has had the pleasure of playing alongside Dirty Vegas, Asian Dub Foundation, Slam, Craig Richards, Lee Burridge, Fluke DJs, Kevin Yost, Brenda Russell, Jondi & Spesh, Jamie Anderson, Coleman & Sensei, Lovesky, Sean Cusack ,Tony Thomas, and many more. DJ Hal's hip shaking blend of joyous deep funky psychedelic house is inspirational and somewhat sexy with a dose of soul. He is a man on a mission, an Earth Odyssey with the sole intention to make you dance!
The Producer: The flipside to DJ Hal is an extremely talented musician (drums, guitar, keys, vocals) and producer. His trademark funky basslines, high production values, broad use of the EQ spectrum dynamics with psychedelic overtones, are rapidly winning him fans worldwide. Having spent many days in studios with producers (both electronic and bands), the fateful day arrived, in October 2000, when Hal decided it was now or never. Working with Ric Pete (ex Candy Flip), he created his first track, 'Close To The Edge'. 10 Kilo and Eukahouse responded quickly, requesting more material, and when Hal met up with old mate Tony Thomas, the journey really began. Now Hal looks down from his lunar station dedicating his time to the high art of dance music production, basing his studio around his 9000 series process unit. You only have to check Hal's discography and remixography to see that his meteoric rise through the dance underground is somewhat unstoppable. His personal highlights so far include remixes for Loaded and Subliminal, the release of the critically acclaimed first Red Moon album, his first solo release on Surround Sounds, touring the USA, and working with San Francisco's Gavin Hardkiss. His sights are set even higher for the future, with soundtracks, his own label and interplanetary travel all in the pipeline Meanwhile, he continues his scientific exploration of frequency response to unlock the secrets of future harmony.
