A1. Beat the Bump
A2. Outside
D1. Beat the Bump (Franco Cinelli Remix)
Bonus Digital Track: Kalka
Cat No. IMM.028

Next up on Immigrant is rising star Franklin De Costa, with the “Beat the Bump EP” (IMM.028). Based out of Frankfurt, Franklin has been making his mark internationally over the past couple of years. His works on Trapez Ltd, Karmarouge Noir and Einmaliensmusik, (amongst others) have displayed his versatility as a producer and proven that the machine funk lurks within. His debut Immigrant Records project is complimented with a remix superb remix from Argentina’s Franco Cinelli (Milnor Modern, Alphahouse, Hello Repeat).
A1 – Beat the Bump. As the title would suggest is not for the feint hearted. It’s intense, squirming bassline, sinister vocal, and aggressive metallic synths create an uncomfortable but infectious groove with a kick like a mule! A mangled build of noise results in metallic mental overload, finally settling down into a jackin groove, with a hook of massive dance floor appeal.
A2 – Outside. If your Bump has not been beaten enough with the EP’s title cut, get ready for another funk-laden jam. Also deserving of an “A Side” spot, Franklin expresses his experimental production style in delivering a dance floor destroying groove, reminiscent of a Relief Records Chi-Town shuffle! GANGSTA!!
D1 – Beat the Bump (Franco Cinelli Remix). The Mack Daddy of the South America’s underground delivers Immigrant a stripped back dance floor killer! While maintaining the originals vocals, and select percussion, Franco ‘beats’ and ‘bumps’ Franklin’s samples to create a more menacing, moody remix. Did we mention the bassline? Whoops….its relentless and THROBBING!
Digital Only – Kalka. As always Immigrant works hard to bring you something extra. Visit www.immigrantindustries.com to find a bonus track from Franklin. Kalka is another masterpiece, dark around the edges and filled with a sublime sub bass at it’s center! Yum.
