The most mouthwatering line-up of the year to date @ Basics IMO.
If you've ever complained about the music policy at Basics and bemoaned the lack of soul, then this is the weekend for you to return to the fold...
This is what Ralph says:
"Well it has been a great month for basics and this week my mobile hasn't stopped ringing with peple after list for the big one (if it could get any bigger!) Lil Louie (the don) Vega isa coming. I know it has been real fun banging it and bringing the acid house back to leeds but this weekend its time to get out the spats, chalk the boards and bust some real moves. This weekend will be a musical journey and I for one aim to show my respects by digging deep and finding some truly soulful moments in dance music history to set the scene for the great man.
I am planning on diggin out my favourite MAW gems to play alongside the every best of cutting edge REAL house. This will be different from how I have been playing recently but the beauty of basics has always been the constant change and surprise week on week out. We have had the bangers now its time for the groovers. Get down and shake it like you got ants in yer mo'f**kin pants....
I am taking requests but only here and now through this thread, after that I'll jus' see you on the floor....
