As if!!! As if Steve Lawler is playing when I swore I would never go to this again!!! Oh flippin eck. Can't go to the North East for Chrimbo and not see Stevie.
How comes he's playing at this venue, didn't think MB was his thing at all? Change of music policy?

It's not really that bizarre a booking. For the main ballroom they've tended to steer away from the soulful/deep house DJs that have come to represent what they're about....leaving rooms 2 and 3 to cover this kind of stuff....i think it makes sense, the big names, like Lawler (or Tim Deluxe @ last years Boxing Day party), will attract the big numbers to pay the bills, the masses will flood in to see Lawler, whereas the 'usual music policy' is now much less popular/more underground so no point putting those lot on in such a big room...
The days of spending £10k on putting MAW/Morales/a.n. other big name U.S. DJ on are well and truely numbered for Manor Born....simply too hard to make money out of it. By putting the likes of Lawler on they also attract a younger (and new) crowd and still able to put people like Franck Roger on (deep/soulful house)...Room 2 with Scruff just shows the variety of music on offer at these parties, last year they had Unabombers on all night in this room...
Are we going then midgey?
