The Full Story
“When we first started the Lazy Days we had 2 goals: releasing music that we felt strongly about and, in these days of uncertainty, do at least 10 releases!” (Fred Everything)
Well, here we are at release number 10 almost exactly 3 years after the first Lazy Days release. In May 2005 the label burst onto the scene and immediately made its mark with ‘Friday’, penned by Fred Everything and 20 For 7, and remixed by the white hot Trentemoller.
Fast forward to 2008 and for this special 10” release Fred has been digging in the vaults and delivered new remixes of what’s considered to be one of his classic productions from the 20:20 Vision era of his career. ‘For Your Pleasure’ features Paris’ great Karl The Voice and was a favorite amongst deep house aficionados back in 2004 with supporters including Jimpster, Diz and Ralph Lawson. It was also included on his critically acclaimed album ‘Light Of Day’.
Frederico Todos, an alias of Fred Everthing, is back on Lazy Days for these new remixes. After collaborations with Vincenzo and remixes for Pete Dafeet, Jay Tripwire and Marko Militano, Todos brings ‘For Your Pleasure’ up to date for 2008 with a vocal mix, a stripped-back dub and a new DJ tool. The new mixes recently featured on Fred’s Podcast and radio show for Freerange Records which had fans all over the world getting in touch to ask him what the new versions were.
Fred says, “Hope you all enjoy and a very warm thank you to all of our supporters since the beginning. Here’s to another 10!”
A special limited edition 10” vinyl available through Topplers.
The release will also be available online at Stompy, Beatport, Traxsource, Juno and Primal Digital.
Next up on Lazy Days is Marko Militano – ‘Lose Control’ which will also feature a Frederico Todos remix.
Also keep an eye out for Fred Everything’s new artist album “Lost Together” out now on Om Records featuring N’Dea Davenport from the Brand New Heavies, Roy Davis Jr, Lisa Shaw and Tim Fuller.
