So many things can contribute to best nights out, as in:
the general crack the company the venue the music the DJs the wotsits the atmosphere the road trip lack of things going wrong etc
its hard to pick one best night out IMO, but here's a few in no particular order:
- Gatecrasher coach trip from Hudds Uni (1997?) - Rise (Sheffield) - Paul Van Dyk & Danielle Davoili (1996) - Ministry of Sound (199?) - Japanese car manufacturer enters the scene...and i dance on a speak stack till 9am. - Basics Global Room @ Pacha (2001) - Mark Wilkinson - Sundays @ Space (Sneak, B.Jaxx), then DC10 (2003) - Robodisco @ Sankeys (2001-2003), always wicked. - Basics, last night @ Mint, Dave Beer dropping "Living On A Prayer" to a moshing dancefloor at 7am.....(2002)
plus many, many nights @ Mint listening to Ralph rinsing it out till late.

Oi Trevor Brooking you must have misread the Title on the thread - Get down from the fence and single one out! I was hoping people would be specific...

As i said there's so many things u can regard as making a night 'the best':
wotsits - Ministry of Sound event to have attended - Last B2B @ Mint (who was on? who cares it was brilliant!) atmosphere - Basics @ Mint - Danny Rampling Xmas party/DC10 with Tania Vulkano absolutely tearing the place apart. sound system - DC10/Sankeys extended session - Space + DC10 + Pacha (in 36 hrs) best crack/laugh - GC coach trip (1997) / "Born on the floor" Nottingham 2003 (Derrick Carter)
I can't pick one!
Seing Laurent Garnier & Tony Humphries @ Centro Fly in NYC was such an experience too. As was seing Timmy Regisford play Shelter @ Vinyl, NYC.
My brains going to explode with quality nights out if i'm not careful....
a better question would be...."worst.....", no thats too negative!

Without any shadow of a doubt.......Creamfields this August.
Everything about it was top :
The Venue - Speke Airfield which is right next to Liverpool airport. Seeing and watching other people freak out when a 757 passes 300 ft over your head at 6am in the morning is funny.
The Music - Every top DJ was there so you couldn't fail to dislike music. There were over 10 Arena's.
The People - Seeing thousands of people in the same state as you was pretty amazing.
I think you should arrange a coach for this years CF. Would be fun !!!

After much thought my choice and not wanting to repeat a load of the same uk based nights as Scott my selection is GC at Lotherton Hall for the following hazy recolections:
1. Paul Oakenfolds set 2. Rampling and Morillo playing rocking sets then going back to back. 3. Even Morales bieng good 4. Taking the plunge and getting absolutey wrecked for the first time. 5. Fully appreciating scott bond in a half empty tent at stupid o'clock due to point 4. 6. Bumping into loads of ramdom people I'd not seen in years. 7. Judge Jules making a complete twunt of himself live on the radio. 8. The car Journey to LH, seeing people ditching their cars on the hard sholder of the Mway so they didn't miss anything whilst listening to the build up on the radio (which ultimately was a good move as we just missed sneaks set).
Other nights that came close or worthy of a mention: 1. MOS as mentioned above- talking scott into blagging it down on the train, Lee wright having a shocker in the bar and resorting to playing gym-tonic in a desperate attempt to get people dancing. 2. Francois K and Cassious @ We Love Sundays at Space 2003 3. Basics - 8th birthday, 1999/2000 NYE when the firework display caused the Evian Lounge to catch fire, the Mint leaving party, the first Jnr Sanchez set, Heller and Farley, Rampling... enough all ready. 4. Beyond Beach Babylon - Being told by the club owner that the guy playng was better than the person we had gone to see which was absolute rubbish at the time, although I cant remember who it was... and for aquiring a sofa from next to the club and taking it back to Calton St in the back of scotts Metro. 5. The first Nottingham road trip: Kyms car blowing up, getting in and then having to leave renaisance, finding the bomb, my first sampling of "supermen", attacking the dancefloor like a bulldozer to Sunkids "Rescue Me" and wait for it... the after hours session in Riley's. 6. Body and Soul - 2.5 hours of danny krivit - quality 7. GRH playing Eden on a Friday night with certain people being very obviously out of the game in a near empty club.

THIS WAS A FUNNY NIGHT! BRANDON BLOCK WAS BOOKED AND JFK WAS THE DJ THAT REPLACED HIM AND WAS SUPPOSEDLY FAR BETTER. FINDING THAT SOFA SAVED THAT HOUSE I LIVED IN, IT HAD NO SOFAS TILL THAT NIGHT AT BABYLON! ANOTHER HILARIOUS NIGHT. GETTING SEARCHED AND TURFED @ RENAISSANCE WASN'T MUCH FUN, NOR WAS RINGING MY EX-GF FOR MIXMAG INFO ON OTHER NIGHTS IN NOTTS, BUT THE BOMB LIVED UP TO ITS NAME! 7. GRH playing Eden on a Friday night with certain people being very obviously out of the game in a near empty club. HMMM.

I neglected to mention when Insomnia blew the speakers at nation/full on about Feb 1997. The only problem was I'd missed the last train home and been refused entry back into the venue and was freezing my rocks off waiting for everyone else to leave.
