It's always good to laugh at other people's mis-fortune, so feel free to laugh at mine from yesterday
I had a client visit to do down in Southampton, so decided to fly down from Leeds. Which was also actually cheaper than getting a train.
Got down fine, had the meeting with no problems and headed back to the airport for my 2.55pm flight back to Leeds (landing at 4pm). I then discovered that all flights to Leeds from Southampton were cancelled, so I couldn't even wait for a later one.
The flight to Manchester was full, so I had to get a flight to Newcastle. Which I did. I then had to get the Metro to Newcastle train station and get a train to Leeds. Which I did.
I get into Leeds train station at about 7pm. I then, of course, have to get a taxi all the way back to Leeds Airport as my car is parked there.
I finally get to Leeds Airport, pay for my carpark ticket and get back to my car. Then, as I'm driving towards the exit someone reverses into me.
The end.

Could be worse mate......i poisened my cat by accident, put some dog flea liquid stuff on him without realising on Wednesday night, woke up Thursday morning and he was shaking like a pooing dog! Took him to the vets cos he was having fits, was told he might not make it and if he did he could be brain damaged!  Luckily today he is a lot better and should be coming home tonight.  £250 later like, but at least he's on the mend! |

put some dog flea liquid stuff on him without realising i'm confused ???by this... how do you end up applying dog flee liquid WITHOUT REALISING IT? were you on k e t ? when you're at the kitchen sink is it easy to miss the cold water tap and end up turning the dog flee liquid tap on? |

Whats confusing about it? Both products are in an identical tube....i pulled one out of the cupboard an applied it.........  |

Ok....maybe i should rephrase that......i applied flea liquid to the cat, i didnt notice that it was actually for dogs as both the products are in identical packaging. You got me bloody confused! Thanks for telling me that Anthony..a mate at work gave me some Frontline for the cat(but presecription was for her now departed dog - I just thought I would give Dizzy half portion) I'll not bother now..
Get some pet insurance -mine is about £5 a month from Argos and covers up to £1500 vet bills a year!
Sh1tty day James..but at least you have next Friday to cheer you up!
My Friday went like this...have been moaning with collegue all year about how crap our job is etc..determined to leave the NHS for good, forfeit the pension and get a sedate office job that I dont have to think about once I leave for the evening..half-hearted applications for other jobs etc, but not really done anything about it..
She comes in on Friday and hands her notice in - husband has own business so can afford to be at home for a while..so along with being a P.A for 3 Matrons, I'll now be a P.A to Clinical Director, Assistant Director of Operations and a Business Manager - with no other staff to cover it..she leaves on the Friday - I go to Ibiza on the following Weds(with no office cover), they are now trying to get me to cancel the Ibiza trip!
So if you know of a decent office job which dosnt involved anything medical and I can come to work on the odd Monday slightly wasted - then let me know!
