Following the recent and undoubted success of ShowNoShames first two parties, they are back with two of the hottest properties in music today. Break beat Queen Annie Nightingale and Atomic Hooligan, (“One of the top 5 breaks DJs in the UK…” - DJ Mag), will be guesting on the night as part of the Breakspoll World Tour 2003.
Breakspoll is ‘The International Break Beat Awards’ and gives clubbers the chance to assess the current state of the global breaks community. This year Breakspoll has decided to take a selection of the winners, runners up and sponsors of this years awards on a world tour. The tour includes some of the heavyweights of breaks as well as some of the up and coming producers and DJs. ShowNoShame will be hosting the second UK date of the tour.
Annie Nightingale was the first female DJ and has had residences at Gatecrasher, The Gallery in London, The Zap Club in Brighton and The End. In February 2003 Annie and breaks producer Danny McMillan took the main stage at Electrowerkz, London and presented ‘The International Break Beat Awards 2002’ with a host of DJs including, Rennie Pilgrem, FreQ Nasty, Krafty Kuts, Atomic Hooligans v’s Sonz of Mecha and Jonathan Lisle.
Her unique show on Radio 1 has the largest worldwide audience and therefore “The importance of Annie Nightingale cannot be understated…” – Time Out.
Matt Welch and Terry Ryan are Atomic Hooligan. These two have true dedication and passion for breaks that is obvious to the thousands of screaming crowds they pull in to clubs all over. But they don’t just DJ, they are awesome producers too, sharing the remix roster with Underworld, London Elektricity and Paul Oakenfold on the fantastic track ‘Born Slippy’.
And of course ShowNoShame's quality resident, Marco Giannini, will be warming up precedings.
Show your support for the breaks scene and get down...
