Bed, located on London Rd, Sheffield has closed apparently.
They'll continue the night at The Republic, which is great news IMO. The Republic is probably one of the my favourite venues in the country....alongside, The Masque, The End and Mint.
Bring on some road trips to Sheffield again!
Yippee!

No its not!
Bed was a sh1t venue, but quality tunes, now if they're at The Republic, surely a benchmark for all other clubs in the 90's, i'll actually want to go again!
GC at its peak was THE best venue and atmosphere in the country.

GC at its peak was THE best venue and atmosphere in the country. Seconded. The concept of bed was great the execution was sh*te. They may have run the night at visage (hudds) for all the atmostphere generated. A move to the republic would definately provide the best possible to relaunch what should be a leading club night. Let's hope it's not spoilt by them booking Morales...

I have been a couple of times and the first time the music stank and the crowd stank and the second time the music was good and the crowd stank! - A pattern emerges me thinks?
The venue also is like a Visage! (Sricky Carpets, high ceilings so the acoustics are sh1te etc)
A move to The Republic wold be class as the sound system is better the layout is better and it might syphon off some of the kn0bheads!
