October 15th will see Casa taking things up a gear.
We realise that it's a bit too much to ask you Leeds dwellers to make the train journey over to Manchester on a Thursday night for Casa, there have been some dedicated souls who have made the effort and we like to think their efforts were rewarded a good night out.
So we are happy to announce that Casamusica has now moved to the 3rd Friday of every month meaning that getting there and back is less hassle and work is not a consideration!!
To celebrate all this we have moved for one of the dj's that has always been on the 'casa want list'.
Gene Farris has been putting out killer chicago house tracks now for over a decade and along with Sneak and Roy Davis was integral in the development of the 2nd wave chicago house sound. The looped up jacking disco that we all love so much.
Gene's tracks have been a regular feature at Casa since day one (Crush played Real Beats ) and this a real honour for us.
Gene is a resident at Chicago's club Zentra and plays regularly alongside Paul Johnson, Derrick Carter, Mike Dixon, Justin Long, Slater Hogan, Yousef and Mark Farina.
His sound is that of Chicago. Deep, Jacking house, relief style techno beats and smooth vocals.
Gene is someone who we have been tracking since day one and to get him playing at the first weekend casa is a real coup for us.
We hope to see you all down celebrating the new look casa and shaking your rump to Gene and his chi town grooves.
