Ah you mad feck! Going to be in San Francisco for the November gig but could possibly be persuaded for the December. Depends on how many plungers you've got lying around!

Some Rainer Truby info...
As a former member of Germany’s internationally known Compost Records project A Forest Mighty Black in his native home of Freiburg, Rainer Truby – alongside Jazzanova, Gilles Peterson, King Britt et al – is the one person you want to name check – on a flyer it brings people to the club – a recommendation of your record will allow you to sell records – he is a brand and has global association that will always means that is trusted in the production studio and certainly behind a pair of decks.
Like most, he started as a complete vinyl-junkie – which is why he has compiled the fantastic and still in-demand European-jazz Brazil fusion Glücklich compilations (now in its fifth volume) and the Nitrogen - Trip Hop Sources From The Past -series with Placebo and Michael Bundt before that. He also compiled with Gilles Peterson Talkin’ Jazz - Vol. 3 on Talkin’ Loud.
After his split from A Forest Mighty Black, he has enforced and developed his own project on Compost called Trüby Trio (which is in fact Rainer Trüby & Fauna Flash ). The 2003 released Elevator Music LP was a hugely successful and wide reaching album that established him firmly in the eyes of the European cognoscenti. Trüby Trio’s have also performed remixes of Louis Bacalov -La Seduzione / Nago (Right Tempo), Miyazawa - Anjos Irmaos (Afro Sick Rec. Japan), Extended Spirit - Solid Water (Sonar Kollektiv/Dialog Rec.), Yasushi Ide - A Certain Peace (Japan), Nitin Sawhney - The Immigrant (Outcaste/Tommy Boy)
As a dj is where Rainer really feels in his element – His own monthly Rootdown sessions in Freiburg have to be seen to be believed and if ever their was a Best Kept Secret – then that town is top of the list. In 1998, Gilles Peterson voted Rainer Trüby as the best in the world and Rainer constantly tours the world and has to be considered on of Europe’s most in demand d.j’s – not just because of his ability and notereity, but because he has a rare and special that fits into so many musical camps and sacrifices not an ounce of quality in the process.
