Just wanted to let you guys know about Velvet Underground, the new club in the basement of the Northern Light in Leeds.
We've started a new after-hours get-together for Sat Night-Sun Morning carrying on. Its open from 3am til v. late (basically we all fall down) on Sunday mornings and there are coaches outside the Warehouse when SpeedQueen finishes, so you don't even need to waste precious dancing energy on walking there if you've been to SQ.
The residents are Dan Tait, Tom Noise, moi Alex Rogerson & Ricci G, plus no doubt some friends in the coming months with a bit of luck. The music policy is deep, dirty, electronic house music...to give you an idea, highlight tracks from the first one this week include:
Phonique - The Red Dress (Tiefschwarz mix)
Orbital - Chime
Underworld - Two Months Off
Tiga - Louder Than A Bomb
and of course Dan Tait & Tom Noise - 360 Days.
Not only this, but the sound system is phat as fook, and as summer seems fast approaching you can dance outside in the courtyard whilst the sun's rising
