I for one shall not being going again to this...I know the promoter who is a friend and a lovely lad who to be fair is pulling off a decent retroesque type night, which is proving very popular(judging by how busy it was)..one of the dj's is also a ex boyfriend who still plays the stuff he played when I went out with him 17 years ago!!
Reason being - I HATED IT after half hour, first couple of 'retroey tunes' and I was like 'yeah this is alright, bringing back some happy memories, but all that vocal and bouncy stuff really did my head in, then the air horns kick in and I thought "right Im off back round to Wu's" Im glad I did, Leo Beltchez played a spanking acid house set ending with Energy Flash...lovely..
Brandon Block scares me too..he chased me round Tall Trees once after insisting I took a record - with his phone number on it..he frightens me...

I work with Brandon Blocks cousin (Daniel Block) and he is very much like Brandon
(ie. very over the top, very cockney and with no DJing ability whatsoever)

I went to the one in May..I was impressed by the amount of people (a much older crowd) who were up for this, it was Bank Hol so everyone was well up for getting spannered..
I knew it would be vocal house, but not the same vocal 'big tunes' over and over again, with the obligatory air horn at 10 minute intervals..I think if I had just gone to Rehab and given Wu's and Fudge a miss I would have maybe stayed, I o-d on good tunes in Wu's, had my fairshare of electrogash in Fudge..
Still wish Paddy et all the best of luck with what seems a pretty succesful night they have going..
I still hate Brandon Block with about as much passion as I hate Westwood..
