Hipp-E
The Year is 1989, Who would have thought that at the Young age of 16, Hipp-E would make his first paycheck as a professional DJ. He then continued to push himself into every top Club at the time in his hometown of Denver Colorado. Quickly he found comfort in Traveling and taking his sound to other parts of the US. Teaming up with Friend Halo, They Became Known as the H-Foundation, the two produced a hybrid sound that paired the jackin' beats of Chicago with the smoked out sounds of the Pacific. As a result, they drew the attention of the world to the self-contained music industry of the West coast.
The next phase of his skyrocketing career saw him able to take his sound to the world in the form of his legendary DJ sets. Playing Sets at Some of the worlds top clubs like Fabric London, Turbo Toronto, Zouks Singapore, The Arches in Glasgow Twilo New York, More Amsterdam, Pacha Buenos Aires, and Hoaman17 Jerusalem, He turned the heads of the clubbers who thought they had seen and heard it all. His sets at Parties in New Zealand, Canada , Turkey, Croatia, Spain, Brazil and all over the United States have reintroduced the concept that prime-time doesn't mean prime-speeds and has the clubbers listening for a change. He Still Continues to play at these venues making some Great friends along the way.
After the huge success of the "Environments" album, a concept that he and Halo worked on together with live musicians and represents the fusion of styles that has become their trademark, the boys now felt it is time to move on with their careers. They have amicably agreed to go their separate ways, with Hipp-e representing the H-Foundation moniker, and each of them DJing as solo artists.
Turn the Page to 2006, Along with being the Proud new Father of Twins, Hipp-e has continued to push himself in the studio, developing a sound that belongs solely to him. His solo production for labels like Nightshfit Feerange, NRK, and Tango has garnered instant reaction from international DJ's. As ½ Owner and A&R for his Successful west coast imprint Nightshift Recordings and A&R for San Francisco based Tango Recordings, he is able to take his knack for finding amazing records to play out and apply it to finding upcoming producers from around the world who will help to shape the future of dance music.
In addition to building his studio knowledge, Hipp-e is also venturing into more unknown territory in the area of T.V. Film and Internet scoring, With a DJ schedule that shows no signs of slowing down, And a studio schedule with Remixes for labels Like Freerange, Nordic Trax, Uniform, SOCO Audio, Alongside a Couple new singles to be released over the summer for Nightshift and Slip n Slide. Hipp-e will continue to realize his dreams and inspire the rest of the industry.
