Sorry to hijack, but this might come in useful for others that are recording.
I've got my set up sorted now (Cheers for that adapter advice on Friday T-Boy) and I've got the software to record with etc.
Did a test last night, but I'm getting a few glitches on the playback.
Sorted out the comp so it's running the least applications possible etc.
Only thing I can think of is that the USB port that runs from my external sound card into the laptop is a 1.1 port.
Would the glitches smooth out if it were running into a USB 2.0 port ??
Cheers guys.

what do you mean by "glitches" ?
crackles in the sound?
if so it may be that your PC does not have enough memory (it's probably not the USB port)

Sorry mate You know when you listen to a CD and it skips, it's that kind of thing. You reckon it needs a memory boost then?

I'd say so. I'm starting to get the same glitches on my lost episodes. Reckon I'll have to delete a few.

Cheers mate I'll get deleting! Is there anything external I can buy that will quickly boost the memory, without too much fuss? Don't want to have to mess about with internal memory if I can help it.

sorry mate, not really, unless you buy a USB Flash memory stick - you can then just move a load of stuff onto that that you don't use all the time
but just uninstalling stuff would be quicker and cheaper

Ahhhh!
Good idea.
I feel like I should enrol for one of those computer courses for OAP's down at the local community centre! ;D
